JEP

The week ended with all of us in the class very busy
doing Market Research
for our Junior Entrepreneur "Big Idea"

Different groups of us carried out different research with some groups doing surveys of children in our school.

Some of us took part in a focus group with teachers of Infants, 1st and 2nd class

And finally the third group carried out interviews with parents.

We are looking forward to analysing this research next week and making a final decision on the type of story book we will create
.

The children's Market Research Focus Group

The children asked teachers to put on their parents hat while carrying out this interview

Thanks to all the teachers for giving up their time.

Music Workshop

Sixth class really enjoyed the music workshop facilitated by Sue and the music students from Cavan College

The workshop gave the girls lots of confidence and by the end of it lots of the girls were confident enough to sing both in groups and individually.  They also enjoyed composing and performing their group piece. It was great fun

THANKS

Drama Workshop

A big
"Thank You"

Peter and the Drama students from Cavan College
for the workshop the facilitated for us.

We had great fun leaning some new drama skills and developing our drama skills.

Junior Entrepreneur Programme

Sixth class have been busy preparing their big idea's for their encounter with the Dragons.

Meet The Dragons

Mrs Bolger
Ms Leonard
Ms. Fitzpatrick

The Dragons were a hard bunch to please but the high standard of ideas and presentations put forward by the girls left them dumbfounded.

They really believe that some of the children have bright futures as entrepreneur.

After much deliberation the class have finally come up with their
"BIG IDEA"

Writing a storybook for children
Dramatising the story
Activity pack for Teachers associated with the book
that can be used by Teachers of Junior Infants to 2nd Class
to develop Literacy skills
